不少人在英语教材的录音带上听过这首Blowing in the wind（《随风飘荡》），也知道这首歌曾入选过美国的大学教材，“美国民谣摇滚之父”Bob Dylan也因此大名鼎鼎——尽管没几个人听过他更多的作品。原名Robert Allen Zimmerman，1963年，Bob Dylan 22岁，一把吉他，一只架在脖子上的口琴，真正的破嗓子，还有乱糟糟的发型，一首Blowing in the wind，顺理成章地接受了爱好思想一代人的初次爱戴。在那个风云激荡的年代里，Martin Luther King Jr.激情四射，发表了名垂青史的的著名演讲“I have a dream”，而Boy Dylan用他的抗议歌曲真正站在了时代的顶峰。想起这些，有些人的血会热起来，有些人则并不动容，因为斗争这件事，当然不是我们的义务。而这首Blowing in the wind更因为他歌词的睿智而成为时时提醒人自省的名作。“一个人要走多少路，才会被称做男人？白鸽要飞过多少大海，才能在沙滩长眠？炮弹要飞行多少次，他们才会忘记战争？......一个人要抬头多少次，才能够看见天空？一个人要有多少只耳朵，才能够听到人们的哭泣？”一种冷峻的思考通过他散漫的演唱流露出来，让人不得不喜欢上他粗糙随意的风格，他越是随意，这歌也就越能接近人心中未经修饰的部分。而真正的好歌，就是这样在人们中间传唱的。
