Street Fighter IV, Bionic Commando, R.E. 5 all coming to PC
When it comes to PC ports of console titles, computer gamers are often left out in the cold. The PC version of a game will often come out over a year after it's been released for consoles, and it isn't uncommon for these titles to be of inferior quality. However, fans of Capcom's latest titles are in for a treat: the publisher has announced that Street Fighter IV, Bionic Commando, and Resident Evil 5 will be coming to the PC in the near future. While Street Fighter IV was confirmed for PC last year, this is the first time Capcom has announced an actual release date for the port.
PC gamers are set to receive some new features that aren't available in the current console builds. Street Fighter IV will contain some vaguely-defined "new special moves" and three new shaders meant to mirror the aesthetics of the artistic trailers for the game: "watercolor," "posterization" and "sumi-e ink" styles. Bionic Commando's PC build will support higher resolutions than the console version and feature remappable controls. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 5 will allow support for NVIDIA's new GeForce 3D Vision technology (though the 3D glasses will need to be bought separately. All three games will still feature online play.
The PC versions of these games are set to arrive later this year. Both the PC versions of Street Fighter IV and Bionic Commando will be available in July, while Resident Evil 5 is set to arrive in stores "later in the year."
